Emailed Newsletters
To reduce our paper consumption, West Leeming publishes its newsletters on this website and the SchoolStream app.  If you would like the newsletters emailed to you, please drop in to the Front Office to fill in a request form.

Waste Free (NUDE) Lunches
Students are encouraged to bring a completely waste free lunch. Students who do so are rewarded with a faction point. We strongly encourage parents to do away with plastic wrap and find sustainable ways of wrapping school lunches.

Solar Panels & Rain Water Tank
Teaching children the value of our fossil fuels and preservation of water as a precious and dwindling resource is achieved by using solar panels and our rain water tank.

Composting
Students from Kindy to Year 6 are taught how to separate their waste.   Leftover fruit and vegetable matter go through a series of stages to end up as compost.

Recycling
All waste is separated at the school into paper, newspaper, cardboard, aluminium, plastic, toner & cartridge and corks.

Orchard
We have a collection of fruiting trees in the orchard beside the rain water tank.
