HOW TO ENROL

Admission procedures are carried out in the school's Front Office.  An Application for Enrolment form must be completed for each child by the parent or guardian. Submit the application to the school together with copies of your child's birth certificate, proof of current address, immunisation record and any visa documentation.  Please submit copies of family court orders for confirmation of name or custody arrangements if applicable.

Birth Certificate
A child’s birth certificate or extract must be produced before children are permitted to commence school.

Proof of current address

e.g. rental/purchase agreement, utilities accounts, drivers licence.

Children from areas other than West Leeming
West Leeming Primary School has a local intake area.    Cross boundary enquiries are also welcomed, and admission can occur but only if there are places available.  See also 'Priority of Enrolment'.

Children from Overseas
Parents of children born overseas must provide a copy of the passport bearing the child's name so that the Date of Entry into Australia and visa classifications can be recorded.  Children on holiday visas are not eligible for enrolment in the Government school system.

Important information
The ‘Application for Enrolment’ form is an application only.
1.  Submitting an application does not mean the enrolment has been accepted by the school
2.  Enrolment in a Kindergarten program in the school does not guarantee a child a place in a Pre-Primary program at the same school in the following year, unless the child lives in the school's local intake area.

3.  A parent must apply for their child’s enrolment in Kindergarten and again the following year for Pre-Primary.

When completing the application for enrolment, please record any special needs, disabilities or health issues, so the school can put processes in place to support the student.
 Kindy enrolments
After the application period closes, you will receive a letter from the school either offering you a place (with enrolment form to be completed) or indicating that no place is available.

Pre-Primary enrolments

After the application period closes, you will receive a letter from the school either offering you a place (with enrolment form to be completed) or indicating that no place is available.

If your child is currently attending Kindergarten at West Leeming Primary School you should complete an Application for Enrolment (even if West Leeming is your local intake school). Please advise us of any changes such as address, immunisation status and family court documents together with supporting documentation.
If West Leeming Primary School is your local intake school,  you will be guaranteed a place in the school's Pre-Primary and will receive a letter confirming your place. No further enrolment form necessary.

If West Leeming Primary School is not your local intake school, you will receive a letter either confirming that a place is available (no further enrolment is necessary) or indicating that no place is available.
